Do I need a credit card to make a reservation?

Yes, the Reef Motor Inn requires a valid credit card for all reservations. We accept all major credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, Diners, and American Express. We also accept Motor-pass*. Your credit card will be charged the full amount of the booking at the time of reservation. Motor-pass, American Express and Diners attract a surcharge of 3.3%.

*Motor-pass customers will be required to supply a major credit card as well as the Motor Pass card. A pre-authorisation will also be required prior to arrival.

What is the Reef Motor Inn’s cancellation policy?

Bookings can be cancelled or changed up to 72 hours prior to arrival (2pm check-in time).

Any cancellations that require a refund outside the 72 hour cancellation policy will incur a $55.00 administration charge.

Cancellations within the 72 hours will be charged the equivalent of the first night accommodation.

Once a booking date has been amended, no further changes can apply. The cancellation policy applies to the original date booked.

Reservation changes are subject to availability, and rate variations may apply.

How do I modify or cancel my reservation?

‘Flaming deals’ or ‘Early-bird special rate’ cancellations are not allowed, and no refunds will be provided.

What information is required at check-in?

  • A valid photo ID
  • The credit card supplied for your reservation
  • Final payment of accommodation (if not fully pre-paid)
  • A bond of $150.00 required to be paid by cash or a preauthorisation of your credit card will be required on check-in.

  • What are the age restrictions to stay at the Reef Motor Inn?

    Minimum age requirement of 18 years for:
  • check-in
  • room reservations
  • alcohol purchase/consumption
  • Under no circumstance will we waive these restrictions

    How do I purchase a gift voucher?

    Contact our reservations team to discuss purchasing a gift voucher for the Reef Motor Inn, or the Reef Restaurant.

    How do I make a special request for my stay?

    Requests for cots can be made in the comments section of the booking button.

    We endeavour to make your stay as comfortable and relaxed as we can. Feel free to discuss your requirements with our reservations staff, and we will advise if we are able to accommodate.

    Additional services may attract a surcharge. You will be advised of this at the time of the request.

    I require additional bedding. Will there be any additional charges?

    Yes, there will be an additional surcharge of $25.00 per day for roll-away/cot hire.

    Is there a charge for parking?

    No, we do not charge for parking.

    Are pets allowed?

    No. Pets are not allowed.

    Do you have smoking rooms?

    No, the Reef Motor Inn is a fully non-smoking property. Smoking in the rooms attracts a charge equivalent to the cost of a detailed clean of carpets, walls, curtains, bedding, and linen to return the room back to a non-smoking standard.

    What time is check-in/check-out?

    Check-in is available from 2pm. Should you require an earlier check-in please call ahead. This is subject to availability. Should you room not be ready by the time you are in the area, we will gladly hold your luggage until standard check-in time.

    Check-out time is 10am. We do allow late check-outs, however this is subject to availability and charges may apply.

    How far away from town is the Reef Motor Inn?

    The Reef Motor Inn is conveniently located adjacent to the Clyde River. There is a safe walk under the Batemans Bay Bridge should you wish to venture into town. The path continues along the waterfront of Batemans Bay.

    What do I do if I left something behind?

    If you have left something behind, we will gladly send your items back to you COD.

    Am I allowed visitors to my room?

    Yes, the Reef Motor Inn welcomes temporary visitors during your stay. All visitors must vacate by 9pm.

    What happens if I have to leave early?

    Please contact our reception staff, and we will consider the circumstances of the early departure. Charges may apply.

    Is there WiFi available?

    Yes, we have wireless internet access. Charges apply depending on the level of use required.

    Does the Reef Motor Inn have a pool?

    No, the Reef Motor Inn does not have a pool.
